The landowner is proposing high-quality new homes to the west of Preston Road, Duns, to meet the growing demand for housing locally in Duns and the rest of Berwickshire. The site will provide new homes in an accessible location which sits within walking distance of Duns town centre while retaining the semi-rural aesthetic of the local area.

Our Vision

Our vision is to complete the street aesthetic of Preston Road. The requirement to meet the growing housing demand locally within Duns will be supported by creation of a new walkable and liveable street on this site.

Our Proposal

The proposal is to erect 10 new houses together with access, landscaping, open space and associated works. New homes delivered on-site are likely to be built as detached houses. The development is being designed intentionally to prioritise an attractive built environment for living and avoid cramming, along with completing Preston Road from the west.

Following a pre-application consultation with Scottish Borders Council, Robert Lamont lodged a Proposal of Application Notice (PAN) that was registered on 13th September 2022.
